Recently it has come to my attention that it has been over two months since I last orchestrated a blog for the "Diary of a Deviant" column of the official Ethereal blood web-site! Shame on me, I know, but as the saying goes: "Better late than never!". So here it is, another healthy dose of the irrelevant, inconsistent, and undeniably infrequent rantings of your favorite vampyre Lord.
Well, I suppose I should fill everyone in on the details of several of our most recent performances. The ceremony that started off as "Carnage at the Q-Bar" in August eventually became "Carnage at County Line" but not before undergoing a brief identity crisis as "The American Legion Massacre". In other words, We had to change the venue for the ritual three fucking times. Luckily enough though, we did not have to change the date so that became the one consistent detail about the evening. It started off inauspiciously enough as a scheduling conflict between the original venue's manager and their booking agency and became a legal issue at the second alternative venue before we finally got the chance to settle all issues with plan C at a third venue. Did I mention that once we had the details all sorted out one band excused themselves from the line-up? Haha! Anyways, here is a picture of what the final event flyer looked like and my favortie shot of us onstage that particular evening. If you enjoy looking at pictures of morbidly depressed ghouls please continue over to the "Nachtmusick and Dark Arts" portion of this web-site so you can admire the full photographic gallery...

We had the good fortune to be booked to perform at our good friend Augustus's event the very next day at The Gasthaus in Elgin, IL. As you might expect by now inconvenience reared it's ugly head this time in the form of a line-up change. Our lead guitarist Shtrigo was forced to take a train to this one because of some car trouble and thus we were left with no choice but to go on stage earlier in the evening than we initially desired to ensure that he could make the last train of the evening back to his residence. The remainder of the night went as expected and ended with us all making a clean get away. Regrettably, at the time of writing this, the venue has since closed it's doors permanently. Predictably below you will see my favorite photograph of the evening and an accompanying video clip captured by our friend Tony (who is coincidentally coordinating an upcoming event of ours in November) more details on that later on in this blog.
After the conclusion of this performance we took a couple of weeks of time away from the stage in order to continue working on Cold Crypt Sonatas Vol. II and to straighten out our rehearsal regiment and purchase a few minor pieces of new equipment. Here is a short video clip of us mixing a few of the orchestral elements from the interlude of a new song eloquently titled "Necrotic Soliloquy". I apologize for the unsteady nature of the camera. I had enjoyed more than my share of coffee on this particular occasion...

This evening was especially enjoyable since the company that the venue rents it's equipment from neglected to supply an audio engineer. Because of this the evening ran over an hour behind schedule and the duties of sound guy and stage hand had to fall to the venue's promoter and myself. We accomplished it though without too much trouble and went home feeling relieved. Here is the customary flyer and photograph...
Before I leave you to digest this information let it be known that we are performing Saturday November 7th for "The Road To Perdition alongside several extremely talented groups at Penny Road Pub in Barington, IL. I am very excited for this one and I hope to see all of your ugly mugs there in support of Our Days End, Eminent Slaughter, and Purge. Prepare thyselves!
